Video EDITING/SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGN

2017-Present

In Spring 2024, I worked with motivational speaker Joy Baldridge to produce an updated version of her sizzle reel for her website and Youtube page. The goal was to create a reel that matched with her brand and personality through the pacing of the video and the presentations that were used as examples of her work. Joy and I frequently discussed how to keep the reel consistent with her vision and exchanging notes based on our observations, as well as critiques from colleagues. The reel includes logos that Joy Baldridge often uses for her presentations, typography emphasizing her services and advice she delivered during her seminars, and lower thirds for the testimonials. This project was produced entirely in After Effects, incorporating use of the Roto-Bezier effect to have Joy Baldridge interact with the logos and typography. Her reel can be seen on her YouTube page and website, JoyBaldridge.com.

After working with motivational speaker Joy Baldridge on her sizzle reel, I was referred by a connection to work with another speaker, Hannah Austin. The goal for this project was to update her reel with additional footage and motion graphics that demonstrated her overall brand as a speaker, author, and podcast host. With three weeks of production, I based the graphics, color, and type off the brand design used for her website and podcast. We wanted to emphasize her expertise as a speaker on mental health, business, and burnout for the first half of the reel, while still showcasing her as the podcast host of the Burn Brightly Podcast and author of “Hello, Head, Meet Heart”. The updated reel can be found on her website “SheShatters.com”.

The same connection, who referred me to Hannah Austin, later brought me to journaling expert, Laura L. Rubin, to edit a brand new reel for her website. The goal was to produce a video that is fun, trendy, and stylish, while addressing key points of her journaling sessions. After meeting with Laura, I based the graphics and visuals of the reel from the supplied brand guide, photos, and videos. Instead of solely focusing on her work as a speaker, we wanted to highlight the benefits of attending her journaling workshops, including better health and improved skills in creativity and communication. The video also includes previous clients, references of her work in media, and promotion for her book, The Big Unlock. The reel can be found on her website “AllSwellCreative.com”.

Laura L. Rubin had been working with Katerina Simonova-Liggio and her company, No Matter Consulting, to update her website and branding. After producing Laura’s reel, Katerina reached out to have a new reel produced for her own website. The final product would be a stylish and energetic piece used to promote the work she’s done with current and previous clients. Katerina asked for a version without music so that the reel would seamlessly loop and play on its own while visiting the website. She did, however, provide an audio track produced by her husband, Chris Liggio, to use as reference for the timing and pacing. The final reel can be found on her website, NoMatter.NYC, while the version with audio can be seen below.
